Self Aggrandisement
I reckon the only reason people (including myself) maintain blogs is because they want to feel more important.
I've been browsing other blogs lately, and more often than not, there are no signs that people have read them... other than their mothers of course.
So if someone other than myself actually reads this, please leave a comment, so that I will know that I am not waffling away to myself... and if no comments are left, I'll know that my initial assesment of blogging is correct.

We're reading, we're reading!!! I just didn't leave a comment before because you need to sign up and I thought that that would force me to start my own blog...but perhaps that isn't such a bad thing....
Yes, blogs are a form of self-agrandisment. A web-based social masturbation, if you will.
I've long been opposed to blogs. One only needs to see that there are currently 740 million blogs on the internet*, and only 4 confessed blog readers to realise that blogs are pants.
*Ficticious statistic.
Not that I wish to belittle your own blog. - It's wonderful, really. In a blogish way. My writing this is testament to the fact that someone, if only just myself, reads your blog.
